Friday, August 15th, gives us the latest breakout country-rock stars in Wilmington’s Live Oak Bank Pavilion at Riverfront Park! Saddled on the "Get Right" 2025 Tour, the Red Clay Strays of Alabama aim their sights on 28 cities in the US for a boot-stomping concert roundup — their most comprehensive to date.
The band saw a tremendous uptick in acclaim last year after their sophomore album, Made by These Moments. They have since earned their first CMA nomination and Billboard Music Award win, sold out a Ryman-recorded live album and national tour, and appeared in NPR’s Tiny Desk, The Tonight Show, and Jimmy Kimmel Live! Now, the Strays are capitalizing on the rapidly thriving buzz on what’s shaping up to be the hottest seasons for Southern-bred harmonies!
Get a move on. Get ready. Get right. Proclaimed "Emerging Artist of the Year" at the recent Americana Music Honors & Awards, the Red Clay Strays tackle their newfound stardom in a show looking to electrify the pavilion’s atmosphere. TGIF is all the more thankful, anchored in their earthy country-rock anthems, heavy on the soul and Southern swag, with a brawny Red Dirt bent. The group, composed of Brandon Coleman, Drew Nix, Zach Rishel, Andrew Bishop, John Hall, and Sevans Henderson, will play to the saga that started with their debut effort, Moment of Truth, featuring the Platinum-certified love song "Wondering Why." Through viral hits such as "Stone’s Throw" and "Do Me Wrong," followed by non-album singles like "Good Godly Woman," they escort fans into a country concert of a lifetime.
The Red Clay Strays skirt the outlaw soundscape with a fervent voice and sterling musicality. Their new release, a unanimous Top 10 on Billboard Country and Americana/Folk charts, abides by that code, delivering you fledgling classics, namely "I’m Still Fine," "Drowning," and Hot 100 lead single "Wanna Be Loved." The Live Oak Bank Pavilion ushers the multi-awarded six-piece outfit on its picturesque waterfront stage for crowds to see across its well-combed lawn section.
